Murals and Wall Paintings

A mural is an exceptional piece of art that makes it possible to transform and reorganize any space. To create it, various materials, such as oil, acrylic, wax, lacquer, and tools are used. Moreover, there are several most common types of wall paintings that are successfully combined, including large-scale paintings with elements of relief.

Murals and wall paintings will last for many years if made using high-quality materials and special artistic techniques. Moreover, murals do not need to be taken care of.

Softscape

The choice of the right softscape presupposes special artistic vision. When softscaping a sculptural object, we use an extensive range of plants of the local flora, which are able to solve the tasks and meet a number of requirements the best. In addition to external attractiveness, they must have a controlled form, grow rapidly, be resistant to diseases and physical damage, and also fit into the sculptural and artistic solution of the created object. The form of plants has great importance in their selection and general composition – ornamental shrubs, trees, perennial lianas, plants with wide leaves, lawns and flower arrangements.

Why It Is Needed

Monumental works of art are defined by their large sizes, and nowadays sculpture leaves its pedestals and goes monumental, invading the city space and playing an independent role in the society. It has no rules and no limits and sometimes exists even outside the architectural context. Sculpture appears in the middle of gardens and parks, form part of large buildings, hotels, palaces, business centers and makes viewers react – tag and post photos to Instagram and Facebook, twit about it, leave reviews on TripAdvisor and other travel websites and blogs, make critical posts saying what a particular sculpture symbolizes, etc. This reaction may go viral and bring even more recognition to the place where it has been installed. That is why monumentalism used in decoration of hotels has an ability to provoke increased interest and admiration, thus, driving more people book up their holidays there.

Materials

Any material that can be shaped in 3 dimensions, such as wood, stone, metal, etc. can be used for sculpture. However, concerning outdoor sculpture, the foremost issue is durability, that is why we prefer using only durable materials.

No matter how popular sculpture has been for years, nowadays proper decorations of different buildings has become a new trend.

As the philosophical and artistic intent of sculpture has evolved over the last two centuries, the choice of materials artisans use to create sculptures has extremely widened and updated. Concrete is one of the most durable and inexpensive materials used by professional sculptors nowadays to create major sculptural project. It is the new vision in decoration and ornamentation of modern buildings, architectural elements, theme, amusement and city parks, zoos, oceanariums, aqua parks, hotels, restaurants, cafes, cinemas, city streets, etc. Large sculptures and a variety of sculptural pieces of art attract the eye, and every day thousands of people visit such magical places as Park Güell to enjoy this multitude of artistic forms. After all, any sculptural detail becomes a real masterpiece and is worth the admiring glances of tourists.

Sculpture pieces placed both indoors and outdoors as well as the use of paintings, grand-scale murals and other artistic forms of ornamentation are more frequently resorted to.

We create robust outdoor constructions using the following materials:

✓ Concrete

Concrete is an artificial stone building material obtained by molding and solidifying of a rationally selected and compacted mixture. Moreover, it is an inexpensive, durable and solid material that is often used in any form of sculptural solutions.

✓ Cementitious (BR) adhesive

Cementitious adhesive is a mixture of cement with mineral fillings and organic modificators. Except for quality and attractive sculpture pieces we also create reliefs of different complexity, artificial stone that looks like real, imitation of wood, marble, metal, made using this adhesive.

Concrete and cementitious adhesive are put on metal carcass.

Often we receive orders to make imitation of ice. To do that we use other materials and sculptural techniques.

For indoor artwork, lighter materials are also used.

Waterproofing

To ensure reliability, durability and protection from leaks when creating fountains, waterfalls and lazy rivers, we use special penetrating waterproofing mixtures that block the penetration of water through the structure and protect the object from aggressive external environment. The use of waterproofing additionally increases the strength of sculptural materials used.

Performance of Sculptural Works

Quality

Monumental sculptures placed in such crowded places as hotels need to be not only durable but also have a solid texture to withstand touching and climbing. The life of our sculptures is estimated for decades. They are resistant to temperature changes, precipitation and ultraviolet radiation. They do not crack, do not deform and do not lose color.

No work of art is permanent, and its survival depends foremost on the nature of its creation, and then on the environment and proper maintenance. Outdoor sculptures may be exposed to natural disasters, chemical pollution, extreme heat or freezing, erosive winds and excessive UV radiation, but much depends on the technique with the help of which the sculpture was created. What concerns indoor sculpture, the main danger lies mainly in human intervention, precisely vandalism, that might cause the sculpture to crack or even break. So, no matter whether sculptures are placed outdoors or indoors, they demand to be of highest quality.
